After kicking off this week’s service with our church Zoom call (link sent out in the WhatsApp group), we can continue with family worship and learning in our homes.

The Unseen King
Big idea:
Peter was teaching that Jesus is alive and the only one who gives life forever. The religious leaders told him to stop, but he chose to obey God and carried on.
Aim:
Let us trust and obey Jesus as the only one who gives life forever, even though we may not always be able show that to others.
The Bible reading for this week is Acts 4:1-22.
Here’s a video for parents to watch as preparation for teaching the younger members of our church this morning:
You can download the games and printable worksheets here:
And here’s the extended lesson content, including teaching materials, gams, videos, and questions.
This is linked in the PDF, but here’s a video covering the story from today’s lesson:
Memory verse:
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Acts 1:8 (NIV)
Heavenly Father,
We thank you that you are alive and acknowledge that you are the only one who gives life forever.
Please would you give us boldness of speech to be like Peter and John, to be able speak to those around us about who You are and all that You have done for us – especially in sending Jesus as our Saviour.
Please would you help us to trust and obey Jesus as the only one who gives life forever.
We pray for churches and Christians around the world who may be facing persecution right now. We pray that you would comfort them and give them the boldness to keep trusting in you and your promises
Amen
