Sunday, 21 June – Service Content

After kicking off this week’s service with our church Zoom call (link sent out in the WhatsApp group), we can continue with family worship and learning in our homes.

Kids & Teens

The Life-Giving King

Big idea:
Peter did two miracles to prove that he was Jesus’ true messenger who should be listened to.

To convince the children that we can trust the teachings about Jesus throughout the New Testament even though it’s not Jesus himself doing the teaching.

The Bible reading for this week is Acts 9:31-43.

Here’s a video for parents to watch as preparation for teaching the younger members of our church this morning:

You can download the printable worksheets, additional parent notes, and quiz sheet here:

And here’s the extended lesson content, including teaching materials, games, videos, and questions.

This is linked in the PDF, but here’s a video covering the content and story from today’s lesson:

Memory verse:

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:8 (NIV)

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for our time together in your word this morning. Thank you for Peter and the miracles we were able to read about in Acts that proved that he was a true messenger of Jesus, who should be listened to.

Please help us to read your Word often and to trust the teachings about Jesus throughout the New Testament.

Please help us to go into this week and put into practice all that we have learnt today – may we love your Word and open our bibles daily so that You can speak to us, guide us and direct us.

Pride and Patience

Here is the sermon for this week. The Bible reading for this sermon is James 4:10-5:12.

If you can’t watch the video, or would rather just listen to the audio, you can do so here:

Matt has assembled some music to complement the message from this morning:
